Thursday, 05 December 2013
The current USB connectivity on smartphones just isnít enough to cater oneís needs. For instance, the slow data transfer rates, and couple that with a small current passing through the USB port would mean that transferring data to your smartphone is darn slow, and charging your smartphone would definitely take several hours of your precious time.

Well, everything is set to change with the next-gen USB connector, which would be touted as smaller and reversible. And if you donít know what reversible means, it means that it doesnít matter which sides you plug in Ė both sides are equal, or rather reversible. The USB 3.1 standard will utilize the Type-C connector, and other goodies encased in the respective technology is an ultra-fast transfer speeds of 10Gbps, and a scalable power charging ability. Iím sure anxious to see the USB standard made available on future smartphones.
