US Patent Office Throws Out Apple PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 30 July 2013
Let’s face it, both Apple and Samsung have not been in good terms, ever since their legal battle started a couple of years ago. Of course, Apple hauled Samsung to court over their apparent patent infringement, in which gave Apple a historic win, whereby the court honored Apple with over $1 billion in damages. However, Apple could not secure a trade ban over Samsung’s disputed products, as the court could not find reasonable facts for such a sanction.

Nevertheless, you can’t win all the battles, and when it comes to Apple’s claim on the pinch-to-zoom patent, it looks like Apple has lost it. The US Patent and Trademark Office have just recently dropped their verdict, in which the office mentioned that this particular patent is otherwise non-patentable, as they view it as a very general technology involved. Well, Apple has up to 2 months to file a dispute to the decision, but personally, I think Apple should just stop these legal battles and focus on revolutionizing their products.

Cash Advance LoanPDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 30 July 2013
It’s a fact that the economy is somewhat stagnant over the past couple of years, and the unemployment ratio is hovering high above the average ratio. Due to the fact that there aren’t many good paying jobs out there, I also find it hard to survive on my current paycheck. Nevertheless, whenever I’m low on cash on a particular month and I have countless of other financial obligations that have yet to be fulfilled, I always opt for a cash advance loan, which allows me to settle my monthly obligations, while waiting for my next paycheck to be credited into my account. Generally, cash advance can be regarded as a miniature soft loan, and the repayment scheme is extremely flexible too, which makes it a viable loan option for cash strapped people like me.

Les Paul CustomPDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 30 July 2013
I have been collecting guitars as my hobby for the past decade now, and generally, my guitar collection consists of the Gibson les paul custom, Fender, Epiphone, Ibanez, Martin, and Taylor. Although these guitars cost me a fortune, but surely, whenever I strum my favorite tunes on these guitars, it gives me an inexplicable satisfaction. Basically, whenever I want to purchase a new, I would spend several hours at the guitar shop, trying out several guitars on the display. Generally, these guitars must be able to deliver crisp and clear sounds, and the strings must also be very responsive to my pickups. I don’t mind paying a premium price for a guitar, but the respective guitar must always deliver exceptional sound quality.

It’s the quarter of the year, where companies declare their quarterly revenue and profitability, and if you are wondering what the world’s largest software company, Microsoft, made for Q4 2013, the company made a handsome $4.97 billion in net income from its whopping $19.90 billion in revenue.

Nevertheless, a lot has happened for the entire year, whereby Microsoft’s CFO stepped down, the Xbox One was introduced, and DRM polices were instituted and then reversed. However, although these things happened, Microsoft still raked in $26.76 in operating income for the fiscal year of 2013. Personally, I think Microsoft’s operating system’s revenue might be affected in the long run, as clearly, the Android operating system is definitely giving Windows a tough run for its money, don’t you think?

According to the sources, bids are coming in from DirecTV, Chernin Group / AT&T and Guggenheim Digital Media. And looking closely at the buyers, critics are adamant that Guggenheim would be the most suitable company as it can retain the site’s entrepreneur spirit.
