Apple 2009 App Store Download and Sales Data |

The latest data released by research firm Gartner suggested that in 2009, Apple’s online app store has recorded a whopping 3 billion apps downloaded via their online store. On the other hand, the research firm also suggested that the App Store market share is hovering at a whopping 99.3 percent. But other analysts suggested that the actual figure should be downsized to 97.5 percent.
Generally, Apple has sold more than 625 milion app sales in 2009, and these sales have contributed to a whopping $4.2 billion in annual mobile apps revenue. Well seems like Apple is leading the mobile application race already with their iPhones. Personally, I find such figures to be truly mind boggling.
