One of the best and most competitive alternatives for the e-ink technology, is the Pixel Qi technology. Generally, Pixel Qi has recently disclosed that their display units will be available for the market, in as early as Q2 2010 – that means that it might be out as early as next month!
Basically, this particular display technology is sunlight-friendly and some of the displays can even provide you with color options, a clear advantage over the e-ink technology, which has monochrome color options.
