Asus EN8800GTX - One hardcore graphics card |
Saturday, 17 February 2007 |
I’m a hardcore gamer – Yeap! You got that right! I’ve been playing computer games since I was 7 years old (how much younger can you get? :). My first PC was a PC/XT by IBM running on a 4 color CGA monitor. It was sure an expensive machine back then – roughly $1000 bucks!
Well gaming hardware are stretching everything to the limit. Take a look at Asus’ graphic card. It runs on water! Yeah, water cooling system was somewhat abandoned (at least I consider it to be abandoned) a not long ago. Problems such as leaking pipes are rampant. Computers and water don’t work together you know.
I checked out this Asus EN8800GTX AquaTank state of the art graphic card which promised to deliver 11% more performance, while it runs 12 degrees cooler. But the card is pre-overclocked though – 630MHz and memory clock speed of 2.06GHz.
Well, as all new cards that come out into the market – will most probably cost a bomb. So watch out your waller/purse (for lady gamers).
