Have you see how those robots automatically park your car in I, Robot? The future is here! I’ve seen somewhere in the newspaper that in New York, there is actually a car park automated with robots. Just imagine this,

1. Move the car into the robot arms or slots,
2. Get out,
3. Robotic arms move your car and slot it into the appropriate car park

When you want to get out,

1. Key-in your pin or password
2. Robot detects and gets your car
3. Your car is ready in 1 minute

I’ve been staying in the city for all my life and one thing that I can tell you is the traffic SUCKS and parking is so damn hard to get during the day! It would be much better having a compact car park and handled by computers rather than those ‘jaga kereta’ or those people that collects money each time you park. For thieves, I bet it’s pretty hard for them to steal as well – unless they can get the car down from the parking lot – yeah it’s a cylinder parking lot 20 stories high.

Technology of the future – always cost a bomb. Don’t expect the price to be cheap even though a robot parking system is available in your country.
