Recent reports showed that NVidia’s GPU has been causing some problems. However, Dell's attempting to assist its laptop owners out by making a few prominent BIOS updates readily obtainable for download. Apparently the issue "is a weak die / wrapping material set, which may fail with GPU heat fluctuations."
In order to battle the problem, Dell's BIOS flashes "adjust the fan profile to help regulate GPU heat fluctuations," though the Round Rock inspiration only promises that the updates will "aid reduce the likelihood of GPU issues.
