Receipt Racer PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 20 June 2011
If you love playing classic games from the 80s, chances are, you’d also be interested in playing the Receipt Racer. As insane as the name implies, the Receipt Racer is actually a game that is played on your ordinary receipt printer – plus some minor modifications. Apparently, Joshua Noble and another two of his friends have created a game title called the Receipt Racer using a thermal receipt printer that is modded to include a light beamer to represent the car, and a DS3 controller to control the light across the terrain printed by the printer.

Basically, his team coded a game using the openFrameworks, and your task is to navigate the beam of light across the receipt without crashing. Although the game concept is potentially wasteful for receipt papers, still I believe that it’s something rather hilarious. Of course, there’s a web-based version of this game available – so perhaps you ought to give the game a try instead?
