RIM Marks 50 Millionth Blackberry Sold! |

Just last year, RIM announced various cost cutting exercises such as firing thousands of their workers from their total workforce. And recently, the same company announced that they have made whopping profit from their Blackberry sales, whereby they proudly claimed that they have in fact sold 50 million Blackberries out in the market already!
In fact, the company’s profit for the 4Q last year was $3.46 billion, or about a 24.5% jump from $2.78 billion of the previous quarter – which really makes me think, why would they want to fire their workers if they have made so much cash?
I believe that most probably the company is trying to weed out bad inefficient workers from their organizations, exactly 1,000 of them!
