Yet Another Update By Google |
Thursday, 25 October 2007 |
I'm not proud of this - Google not only decrease this site's PR from 4 to 3 and now it's only a PR2 site. It's really demoralizing what Google is doing. I don't know how Google justify the recent PR update. According to sources, the update was
1. To punish sites which are selling links
2. To weed out spam sites
3. To make Google searches more accurate
4. (discreetly) to increase their Ads revenue
It's really unbelievable that major sites are the ones that was hit badly. Famous ones like JohnChow, Problogger, Autoblog, Copyblogger and many more have a decrease in PR. I don't know about you, I think that this would definitely kill of small sites which depends heavily on selling ads.
I suspect that another major update would take place soon since that new sites have yet to receive PR. If it would happen, it would probably be in two to three weeks from now.
