Saturday, 17 February 2007
As Chinese New Year looms, I want to wish all a Happy Chinese New Year and have a safe journey home! Get more angpaos and of course, don't be notty! Play more fire crackers and don't forget to call me.

This is the year of the PIG (I'm serious) and may all the PIGs bring you prosperity and luck. Happy holidays to all the readers!

Fallout Boy! Ahem, I mean Fallout PDF Print E-mail

Fallout 3This is one of the best games ever! I’ve completed Fallout 2 a couple of times and I’m still enjoying it.

My Ratings (1 to 5):
Playability: 5
Addictiveness: 5
Game features: 5
Game play: 4
Storyline: 5

There was news that Fallout 3 was coming out soon end of this year. But this news was circulating for quite some time and last year, I heard that it was coming out this year. Kinda like a loop right? Maybe at the end of this year, someone will say that it will be coming out end of next year!

But good news is that some software developer is finally taking the challenge to complete Fallout3! Don’t know what happened but it seems that many of these software companies always went bankrupt not long after a successful launch of a game – is it a trend?

What worries me is that they might change the gameplay into something else – NO! I love the classic but maybe they can do something about the action points and action time – too slow and take too much time. But in Brotherhood of Steel, they have actually incorporated Real-time gameplay – it was tough and you can’t even win the game as monsters were running too fast!

May my prayers come true.

Have you seen I, Robot the movie?PDF Print E-mail

Robot ParkingHave you see how those robots automatically park your car in I, Robot? The future is here! I’ve seen somewhere in the newspaper that in New York, there is actually a car park automated with robots. Just imagine this,

1. Move the car into the robot arms or slots,
2. Get out,
3. Robotic arms move your car and slot it into the appropriate car park

When you want to get out,

1. Key-in your pin or password
2. Robot detects and gets your car
3. Your car is ready in 1 minute

I’ve been staying in the city for all my life and one thing that I can tell you is the traffic SUCKS and parking is so damn hard to get during the day! It would be much better having a compact car park and handled by computers rather than those ‘jaga kereta’ or those people that collects money each time you park. For thieves, I bet it’s pretty hard for them to steal as well – unless they can get the car down from the parking lot – yeah it’s a cylinder parking lot 20 stories high.

Technology of the future – always cost a bomb. Don’t expect the price to be cheap even though a robot parking system is available in your country.

Asus EN8800GTX - One hardcore grapPDF Print E-mail

I’m a hardcore gamer – Yeap! You got that right! I’ve been playing computer games since I was 7 years old (how much younger can you get? :). My first PC was a PC/XT by IBM running on a 4 color CGA monitor. It was sure an expensive machine back then – roughly $1000 bucks!
Asus EN8800GTX
Well gaming hardware are stretching everything to the limit. Take a look at Asus’ graphic card. It runs on water! Yeah, water cooling system was somewhat abandoned (at least I consider it to be abandoned) a not long ago. Problems such as leaking pipes are rampant. Computers and water don’t work together you know.

I checked out this Asus EN8800GTX AquaTank state of the art graphic card which promised to deliver 11% more performance, while it runs 12 degrees cooler. But the card is pre-overclocked though – 630MHz and memory clock speed of 2.06GHz.

Well, as all new cards that come out into the market – will most probably cost a bomb. So watch out your waller/purse (for lady gamers).
Firefox - one good browserPDF Print E-mail

Don’t know about you, but I feel uneasy each time I use Internet Explorer. In the past, I had to format my PC every 3 months – I got spyware, adware and browser hijack. *must be my night activities – don’t tell anyone (secret)*

Browser warTo tell you the truth, I can’t trust IE anymore. I had too many bad experiences. But the thing is sometimes you just have to use IE as there are many sites built for IE. The other day, I had to pay for my mobile phone bills. Whadaya know? The site only runs on IE and nothing else – *damn*

When I launched DotMySpot past 2 months, I was a hardcore IE user – browsing anything and everything must be in IE. As months passed by, I noticed that I kept having problems while surfing – the browser kept getting error and shutting down – wasting my time…

I gave Firefox a try and after I learned all the tips and tricks – it’s my fav browser now! Same goes to Opera.

Hmm, don’t know about you, why don’t you give Firefox a try?!PDF Print E-mail

Hi, welcome to!

This is actually an online portal and a blog for technology particularly in the Mac and PC world. Some of the topics covered:

1. Computers - Mac and PC
2. Latest Technology and Gadgets
3. Latest Software
4. Of course, a blog wouldn't be exciting without random ramblings from the author right?
5. Just enjoy!

As you can see, Mac.andPC is pretty new and I'm aiming to achieve at least 20, 200 words articles in this blog at the end of the month. I've also aiming to build some backlinks hopefully at least 2000.

Reasons: Google might be updating their PR on March or April (speculation)

Keep coming back for Goodies. I might be throwing a discount voucher in GoDaddy where you will have $50 bucks discount!

I love you bye bye!
